NOTICE OF RACE
- Rules
- The Regatta will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing and the prescriptions of US Sailing (RRS) except for any of those that may be altered by the Sailing Instructions.
- Racing Instructions will be available to competitors at registration on Saturday and will be posted on the event bulletin board at race headquarters.
- Penalties for Breaking Rule 42 will apply.
- Eligibility
- This series is open to all Centerboard boats and Beachable multi-hulls.
- Boats will be grouped in one of four classes: Portsmouth, Sunfish, Laser, or Multi-Hull.
- Five boats will constitute a fleet.
- The same crew shall race in all races, except in cases where the race committee, for satisfactory reason, approves a substitution requested in writing at registration.
Schedule of Events:
Friday, September 11
1800– 2000 hrs - Registration
Saturday, September 12
1030 hrs. – Skipper’s Meeting
1130 hrs. - 1st Race Warning Signal
No Scheduled Starts after 1830 hrs.
Evening Meal to Follow Races
Sunday, September 13
1000 hrs – 1st Race Warning Signal
No scheduled Starts after 1400 hrs
- Registration and Fees
- Advanced registration is encouraged. Competitors may register by filling out the registration form at the website below and sending it with the appropriate fees to: The Stillhouse Sailing Club; 3760 Simmons Rd.; Belton, Texas 76513.

- The entry fee for each skipper is $35. This fee includes a Saturday evening meal for the skipper. Additional meals may be purchased for crew/family at registration.
- Courses and Racing Area
- The race committee will select courses based on conditions the day of the race.
- The race area will be in the main basin of Stillhouse Hollow Lake adjacent to Race Headquarters at the Pavilion at Stillhouse Hollow Lake Park.
- Scoring
- Sunfish and Laser classes will be scored using a Low Point scoring method.
- All other Centerboard boats will be scored using the Portsmouth Yardstick method.
- Multi-hull boats may be scored by either a Low Point or Portsmouth method dependant on numbers of one-designs

- Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The Stillhouse Sailing Club will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
